Brian practices predominantly in construction law and commercial litigation. He articled with SimpsonWigle LAW and returned as an associate upon his admittance to the Law Society of Upper Canada as a practicing lawyer.
Brian works closely with clients in addressing the unique and specialized demands of the construction industry. Brian represents clients from across the construction industry including owners, contractors, sub-trades, suppliers, and consultants in a variety of construction related matters such as construction lien claims, trust claims, bond claims, and construction delay and deficiency claims. Brian also advises on construction and consultant contracts regarding risk avoidance strategies.
As a member of the litigation group Brian advises personal and corporate clients on commercial disputes, contract interpretation, legal and fiduciary duties, real estate actions, debt enforcement, and estate litigation. Brian represents clients before various tribunals in addition to the
Prior to entering the legal profession, Brian worked in the Federal Enforcement Section of the RCMP with a particular focus on white collar crime and cross border investigations. He was engaged in investigating multi-jurisdictional money laundering and fraudulent loan transactions.
