Ronald Danks is a partner in the firm and practices condominium law and administration. The focus of his practice is on condominium law and administration, and he is counsel to over six hundred and fifty residential and commercial condominium corporations throughout Ontario. He advises boards of directors and property managers on all areas of condominium law and administration including; declaration and by-law interpretation, amendment or replacement; contracts; leases and easements; amalgamations; shared facilities agreements; common element alterations and section 98 agreements; bank loans; rule enforcement; procedures for owner's and board meetings; and liens common expense collections.
Ron is a member of the Joint CCI/ACMO Legislative Committee and was heavily involved in the review and development of the Condominium Act 1998, and its regulations. He is a director and past-president and chair of the National Board of Directors of the CCI and a director and past-president of the Golden Horseshoe Chapter of CCI. He received the ACCI accreditation in law from the Condominium Canadian Institute in 1997. In 2002, Ron was made a Fellow of the Canadian Condominium Institute (FCCI) in recognition of his contributions to the Institute and the condominium community.
Ron is a frequent lecturer on condominium related matters and has led or participated in seminars for the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association, the South Central Lawyers Association, the Hamilton Law Association, The Canadian Condominium Institute, (from coast to coast) the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario, and numerous Real Estate Associations throughout Southern Ontario. He has written exclusively on the subject of condominium law and administration and his articles have been published in CONDOBUSINESS Magazine, CM Magazine, Law Clerk's Review, the HLA Newsletter, The Golden Horseshoe Newsletter, the CCI National Review, as well as many other CCI chapters' newsletters. He has had articles published in the National Post, Toronto Sun, Edmonton Sun and the Hamilton Spectator.
